Crooked Creek Haunted Ghost Town Tours FAQ’s
Q: What are Crooked Creek Haunted Ghost Town Tours?
Each year the staff at Sugar Sand Park transforms our 2500 sq. ft. Maple Room into the fictitious haunted ghost town Crooked Creek. It is one of the only haunted houses created especially for families, and it’s scary!!!
Q: How long is the tour?
About 7-8 minutes
Q: How many people can go on each tour?
We can take parties up to 10 people. If you have more than 10 your party may be separated into two groups.
Q: How do I make reservations for the tour?
Advanced reservations go on sale Tuesday, September 15, 2009. Advanced reservations are sold through the box office during regular box office hours. Reservations are made by half hour time slots, i.e. you will tell us that you wish to buy tickets for the 6:00-6:30 time slot (or 6:30-7:00, 7:00-7:30, etc).
Q: Will I be able to reserve a space the same day I come for the tour?
There will be no same day reservations on the phone. We will accommodate walk-up sales only if there is space available. Discounted reservations are $5.00 in advance; $7.00 beginning October 27.
Q: How will my reservation be confirmed?
Your information will be in our computer and the day of the event we will have a reservation list, much like a restaurant reservation. We recommend you write down your reservation date and time, and call ahead with any questions.
Q: Why are you selling advanced reservations?
Advanced reservations will give patrons the opportunity to enjoy the rest of the event activities instead of spending the entire evening in line.
Q: What do I do when I arrive for the Crooked Creek Haunted Ghost Town Tour?
Check-in time is no more than 10 minutes prior to your reservation time. Your entire party will get a tag with the date and time of your reservation slot, and you will be asked to wear it and wait in the queue area. Your wait should not exceed 30 minutes. The entire party must check in by the start of their reservation time. For example, if your reservation is from 6:00-6:30 you must check in no later than 6:00 or you may forfeit your spot. Your tour will take place within the half hour time slot, not necessarily at the beginning of the half hour.
Q: Will the tour be okay for my 5 year old?
Guests will be exposed to darkness, loud noises, strobe lights, actors, and yes it is scary. We do not recommend this haunted house to anyone under age 7.
Q: Can I buy tickets for my kids and let them go alone?
A parent/guardian must accompany children 12 & under. We reserve the right to ask patrons of any age to leave if they exhibit inappropriate behavior.
Q: Is the tour safe and wheelchair accessible?
We follow safety guidelines set by the City of Boca Raton and follow fire safety precautions. A staff member is present at all times and available to escort patrons who wish to leave. The Ghost Town is ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible.
