Ballet & Creative Movement

Children will learn about ballet through fun, creative songs. Scarves, ribbons, and rhythm sticks will be introduced for creative expression, coordination, and rhythm.

Jazz & Hip Hop Hooray

Boys & girls will dance to current Kids Bob and kid-friendly songs. Classes will consist of warmups, across-the-floor combinations and choreographed routines.

Bright & Smart: Pre-starter STEM Journey

Participants learn to design, create, build, and program an array of robots using a curriculum developed primarily for them. Each week a new challenge is unraveled by each team. Demonstration for parents at the end of the session.

Participants learn to design, create, build, and program an array of robots using a curriculum developed primarily for them. Each week a new challenge is unraveled by each team. Demonstration for parents at the end of the session.

Bright & Smart: Enchanted STEM, Parent & Me

Learning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is so much fun! Young children learn to pay attention to detail, think critically, and be patient by designing, creating, and putting together contraptions (with the help of a parent/caregiver) using curriculum developed primarily for them. Parent/caregiver participation is required.

Bright & Smart Coding & Robotics for Homeschoolers

Coding & Robotics is the new literacy! Young children will learn to program their own interactive stories and robots in this monthly program. Each student works independently at their own pace, and in teams, learning to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on and off the computer. 

Eyes to the Skies

(Recommended for Ages 7+) Join us for an intro to astronomy! These FREE, informal events are held in the Camino parking lot behind the Explorium, weather permitting, where will explore the skies with our professional-grade 16-inch Meade LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. In the case of poor weather, we’ll take a fantastic journey through the sky in our indoor, inflatable STARLAB planetarium.

Music Together with Laurie DEMO class

A 45-minute DEMO class for newborns up to age 6 with their caregiver(s) to sing, dance, and play together.

Friday Night at the Museum

For those ages 7 - 12, you are invited to wear comfy clothes as we get a chance to hang out in the Explorium "after hours"! Enjoy special access to exhibits and staff. Pizza will be served; we'll watch a movie and do a fun experiment. Pre-registration is required.

LOL Film Making: Stop Motion Animation Workshop

Film Camp in a Box brings imagination and creativity to this one-day workshop. Using clay or Legos, young filmmakers will work in small film crews to create and epic Stop Motion Animation Film.

Weekend Demo Saturday

Recommended for ages 7+. Join the Explorium staff as we dig a little deeper into some exciting scientific principles! We'll spark your curiosity during these FREE 30 minute, interactive, demonstrations. Engaging explanations combine with audience participation to create an enjoyable learning experience for everyone!
