Youth Roller Hockey League
The C.O.B.R.A. Youth Hockey League looks to provide an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game of roller hockey, sportsmanship, team play and make new friends.
Games will be played on Saturday mornings and Wednesday nights. Practices are held once a week at the same day and time each week. Practices are one hour in length. The earliest time slot for a practice is 5:30pm. Practices will be either Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. The league will provide players with a jersey. Seasons run November - February and March - May.
Some of the rules for this league include: equal playing time, no checking, no icing or off sides, and pucks used for all age groups.
All coaches are volunteers. To make this program successful, each team needs at least one head coach and one assistant coach. The league can provide various educational books and video tapes for the experienced or inexperienced coach. New coaches are required to go through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association certification clinic.
