Ben Hicks has journeyed across the Americas and around the globe, capturing the majestic beauty of the natural world. In his fine art underwater photography he strives to portray the familiar in extraordinarily original ways, sometimes taking physical risks in the process.

Carly Mejeur – Nautical Chart Painting

A marine life artist and Florida native, Carly Mejeur uses her watercolor paintings of creatures to connect the man-made lines and numbers with the organic composition of islands and coastlines of authentic nautical charts.

Anabel Rub Peicher and Raquel Rub

Recepton Sunday, July 14 at 2pm. Join Anabel and Raquel for a presentation and discussion, and light refreshments.


Anabel is an international artist born in Lima, Peru. Her passion is creating three dimensional artwork in different media such as ceramics, metals, resins and stone. She has exhibited her work in  Barcelona Spain, Lima - Peru, and in the United States.

Raquel’s style reflects spontaneity and free spirit. She enjoys creating art in an array of media, textures and colors. Her work encompasses acrylics, aluminum, metals, porcelain,  pvc, and stone amongst others.

The Artists aim to transport the viewer to a place in which their imagination is set free to wonder and contemplate, take respite in the imaginative array of shapes and forms which hint at nature and fantasy.

         13th Annual Sugar Sand Park Community Center                      Juried Art Exhibition, “ Easy Livin’ ”

             Exhibition dates: August 1 – September 16             

Artists may enter up to 2 pieces for consideration, including 2D and 3D artwork such as paintings, photography, multimedia, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, and glass.

$20 entry fee; entry forms must be postmarked by July 18.

Art in Public Places Exhibitions

The Community Center participates in Art in Public Places, a public program whereby artists can exhibit works free of charge in a public space. We accept applications from individuals and groups inside or outside the City of Boca Raton. Artists may submit work in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, glass, jewelry, pottery, and multimedia.
