C.O.B.R.A. is an acronym for City of Boca Raton Athletics. Each C.O.B.R.A. administrator is a CYSA (Certified Youth Sports Administrator) and is always easily accessible to answer all questions and concerns.

The C.O.B.R.A. Girl's Volleyball League looks to provide an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game of volleyball, sportsmanship, team play and make new friends.

Youth Basketball League

The C.O.B.R.A. Youth Basketball League is a program based on teaching the fundamentals of basketball and improving the personal growth of our youth. Our goal is to lay down a solid foundation that the children and parents can both learn and grow from. We promote fun while teaching the children the importance of teamwork in a non-competitive setting.

Adult Basketball League

For over ten years the Sugar Sand Park Field House has held Adult Basketball Leagues. Games are on Tuesday nights between 6:30 pm and 10:00 pm. Participants (all 18 years and older) vary in skill from casual players to current and former NBA players.

COBRA Minis Program
(Formerly known as Start Smart.) This program teaches children the basic motor skills necessary to play organized sports. The program focuses on teaching children basic sports mechanics without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt.  Seven week sessions (45 minute classes) focus on either Basketball, Golf, Baseball, Soccer, Floor Hockey or Football. (AGES 3-5)

 Youth Golf
The C.O.B.R.A. Youth Golf program will use SNAG® equipment to teach solid fundamentals to newcomers at golf. SNAG® stands for "Starting New at Golf". It is a FUN game that is EASY to learn and can be played ANYWHERE. SNAG® contains all the elements of golf but in a modified form. Falling somewhere between miniature golf and regulation golf, SNAG® allows for full shots, pitching, chipping, and putting. It is a proven learning & training tool for entry level golfers. (AGES 6-10)

Youth Flag Football

This fun, instructional program teaches children the basic skills (passing, punting, kicking, etc.) to play football.  Every player will have the opportunity to play every position.  (AGES 6-14)

Youth T-Ball & Modified Coach Pitch

This program teaches children the fundamentals of baseball.  Participants will have the opportunity to play every position and bat multiple times every game.  (AGES 4-7)

Adult Softball

Countess de Hoernle Park offers Adult Softball Leagues every day of the week. Seasons are 10 games long. All teams are competing to qualify for a single elimination playoffs at the end of the season. Prizes include team trophies and tee shirts. (AGES 18 and over)

Countess de Hoernle Park offers 7-on-7 Flag Football Leagues on Sunday mornings. There is an Adult League and a Women's League. All teams will qualify for a single elimination tournament at the end of the season. Prizes include team trophies, tee shirts, and flag belts. (AGES 18 and over)

Ready to sign up for one of our C.O.B.R.A. programs?  We are now proud to offer online registration through WebTrac. To initially set up your online user name and password you will have to stop by the Field House or any City of Boca Raton Community Center to prove residency. After that you will have the ability to register for our programs online.

Location
The Field House (gymnasium) is located at the west end of the park between the roller hockey rink and the Community Center. The roller hockey rink is located on the west end of the park adjacent to the park entrance and the Field House (gymnasium).
